The Bimbo Tie (or Himbo or Thembo depending on who you are tying!) was invented by FL:Provocations (IG tie_rope_take_photo) as an objectification tie. This minimalistic tie takes a simple lower body harness and upper body harness and connects them to turn your bottom into your own personal doll - ready to use however you negotiate best. This is NOT a suspension tie, and is suitable for most skill levels.
Tops: recommended 2-5 hanks of rope for this tie (possibly some shorter ropes), and the ability to tie a single column.
Bottoms: recommended personal hand checks for nerve impingement/circulation loss and the ability to communicate in a potential stress tie.
Presenter Bios
Siren/RopeSiren (she/her) began her rope journey in 2018. With a deep appreciation for both traditional kinbaku and circus-style Shibari, she has taught and performed across the Midwest and south. While she primarily identifies as a bottom, Siren credits learning to top and self-tie as transformative aspects of her rope practice and personal growth. She continues to seek out opportunities to teach and expand her skills, with a growing passion for integrating rope with aerial arts.
Robb/Robb_Snow (he/him) has been involved in Japanese rope bondage as a student, teacher, and performer since 2013. Robb loves both tying and being tied and particularly enjoys the connection and intimacy that can be achieved through rope. Robb's tying style mixes sensuality and sadism, with a focus on creating a shared container to playfully explore vulnerability and desire.
Dynamics Dungeon membership is not required for this event.
Three ticket options are available:
Our goal is to bring rope education to all who desire it. If the solidarity ticket price is too high or they're sold out, contact KnotSadistic for scholarship options. No one is turned away for inability to pay.
We have hard points available and a limited supply of mats for floor work. You may want to bring a yoga mat or similar in case we run out. Free loaner rope is also available if you don't have your own. All skill levels welcome! After the main class we'll have a Rope 101 session for people who are new to rope or want a refresher.
Don't have a partner? While many people come as couples, many also come alone. Some classes work well for self-tying and some do not. If in doubt about whether a partner is recommended for a given class please reach out to the organizer.
Psst. Hey, you... the one who clicks Interested for every event. The one who wants to go but you talk yourself out of it because it seems too intimidating. We feel you. Want to just curl up on the couch, eat cookies and watch? You can totally do that here.
